Half coming-of-age ceremony
「ハーフ成人式」
または、「2分の1成人式」「十歳（ととせ）の祝い」
とは、成人式の年齢の半分、つまり10歳をお祝いするイベントです。
10歳という節目にこれまでの成長を振り返り、周囲に対する感謝や将来への希望を胸に刻む特別なお祝い行事です。
「2分の1成人式」は2月1日、「十歳（ととせ）の祝い」は3月7日が正式な記念日として日本記念日協会に登録されています。
しかし、お祝いする時期に明確な決まりはありません。成人式のシーズンである1月~2月頃にする方もいれば、お子さまの誕生日に合わせてする方もいます。
小学校4年生の3学期には、学校でもイベントとしてお祝いされ、多くの学校では、
幼少期から現在までのお写真や、ご両親からの温かいコメントの提出も求められます。
法改正により、18歳が成人となるため、9歳でお祝いされるご家庭も増えました。

"10th Celebration"
is an event to celebrate half the age of the coming-of-age ceremony, that is, 10 years old. It is a special celebration event to look back on the growth so far at the turning point of 10 years old, to express gratitude to those around you and hopes for the future. The official anniversaries of the 1/2 coming-of-age ceremony are registered with the Japan Anniversary Association on February 1st, and March 7th for the Totose no Celebration. However, there is no clear rule as to when to celebrate. Some people do it around January to February, which is the season for coming-of-age ceremonies, while others do it according to their child's birthday. In the 3rd semester of the 4th grade of elementary school, it is celebrated as an event at schools, and in many schools, Photos from childhood to the present and warm comments from parents are also required. Due to the revision of the law, 18 years old becomes an adult, so the number of families celebrating at 9 years old has increased.
